Logitech harmony remote won't connect4/23/2024 ![]() My attempts to outsmart my advanced technological devices failed dismally as it seems the unpair option of the Harmony remote will only function correctly if I first press the Devices button and then choose the Apple TV. Log in to your account with a different browser (ex. Reboot your remote (press and hold the Off button until the LCD screen turns off and then back on), and then try to sync. I'm sure by now you can see where this is going. If your Harmony remote fails to sync, try the following: Log out and back in to your account on, and try to sync again. None of the arrow buttons of the Harmony remote would activate the on screen progress bar although some buttons such as the Volume buttons would.Īt this point, I resigned myself to having to unpair every time I accessed my Apple TV so I thought I would get smart and program the unpair button to show up as one of the additional buttons on the lcd screen of the Harmony Remote when I start the Apple TV activity. The progress bar never activates when I push the up arrow on my Logitech Harmony remote although I know the Apple TV is somewhat recognizing the button press because I hear an auditory beep and see the led light on the front of the Apple TV flash when I push the button. After each step, try to plug in your remote and click SYNC. There are instructions to hold down each button until a progress bar is full. If your computer or My Harmony wont recognize your remote, try the following steps. I tried to go into the Apple TV > Settings > General > Remote and have Apple TV learn my remote's IR. ![]() I tried to use the Harmony remote's IR learning mode directly with my Apple Remote instead of using the settings from the database. This only served to render my Apple Remote nonfunctional and I still have to unpair every time. I have tried to pair the Apple TV with the Harmony remote. I would like to be able to use my Harmony Remote without having to unpair constantly. Once I turn the TV off or switch to another activity, it loses this setting and I have to unpair again when I go back to Apple TV. The Harmony remote works great with the Apple TV if I follow these instructions to unpair the remote EVERY time I want to use it. I've followed these instructions already. Within the Logitech software I set up Apple TV as a MediaCenter PC device. I have a Logitech Harmony 880 remote which I am trying to set up with my new Apple TV.
